The stereographic projection has been used to map spherical panoramas. This results in interesting effects: The area close to the point opposite to the center of projection becomes significantly enlarged, resulting in an effect known as little planet.
The pictures were taken with a 18 mm lens. To make a 360 degrees panorama photo it takes about 23 pictures. To make the picture including the ground and sky it takes 3 panorama layers to complete the whole 360 degree photo. To make one little planet it takes 70 photos.
